Youth mental health care

Notal Care for youth mental health care

In Dutch youth mental health care (jeugd-GGZ) you often speak with a child, parents and others involved. It then needs to stay clear who says what, and different perspectives should not automatically be merged.

Practice setting: Praktijk Rood

Alongside the development at In-Dividu, Praktijk Rood provides an additional practice setting for youth and adult care. Experience in one organisation does not yet say everything about other target groups or forms of treatment.

Sessions with several people involved

What to look out for when reviewing a draft report of a family or system session.

  • Who said what. Check that statements are attributed correctly to the child, parents and others.

  • Perspectives stay distinct. A summary does not turn different accounts into a shared conclusion.

  • Negation and doubt. Do these stay in the report as they were expressed?

Frequently asked questions

We already use speech-driven reporting. What does Notal Care add?

Notal Care also produces a report per session, but in addition keeps each client's course of treatment together: record building per phase, case formulation, evaluations and the lead practitioner overview. Whether it fits alongside or instead of your current tool is something we discuss in the demo.

Is the session stored?

The audio is not. The transcript is.

What does a pilot look like?

One team, 4 weeks, with agreed measures: use in the workflow, report quality, correction effort, perceived workload and attention in the session. You then decide whether to scale up.
